The Basic Educational Data System (BEDS) Personnel Master File contains detailed data on the demographic and professional characteristics of public school professional staff and data on their teaching and non-teaching assignments. Each record consists of two sections: 1) a header section identifying the professional's name, sex, marital status, age educational level, and professional experience; and a main section with assignment data such as the assignment code, assignment name, grade level of students, ability levels of students, and the professional's assignment certification status.
